Pregnancy is a nine-month-long event, but it doesn’t have to be the same for everyone. The stages of pregnancy can vary and there are many different aspects that need attention during this time. Whether you’re happy with your pregnancy or not, it’s important to know what’s going on inside your body and how best to care for yourself.
There are four stages of pregnancy, and they are as follows
Stage One: The first stage of pregnancy is called the “Immunologic” or “Honeymoon.” During this time, your body will produce antibodies that are made to protect you and your baby. This also means that you’re less likely to catch a cold or other illness during this time period because these immunities will be built up.
Stage Two: The second stage of pregnancy, the “Growth” phase, is when your baby’s development and growth will be at their fastest. Almost all babies grow in size by about 90% during this time period.
Stage Three: The third stage of pregnancy is called the “Development” or “Organogenesis” phase. This stage is where the baby is being developed and the organs are starting to form. The baby’s brain, spine, and rib cage will be developed in this stage of pregnancy.
Stage Four is the final stage and it is called the “Labor” or “Delivery” phase. This is where you can start to feel your baby moving and getting ready for delivery.
